LG Steam Washer Info

Do you suddenly find yourself on the market for a new washing machine after using the same washer for 10 or more years? If so, and you're like most people in that you haven't been following the recent developments in washer technology over the past few years, you were likely a bit surprised to see how far washing machines have evolved since you made your last purchase. Firstly, the majority of washer models on sale today are front load washers, not the traditional top loading types. There are a number of reasons for this shift, but the most notable of which are that front load washers are more efficient than the old style top loaders in terms of water usage and electricity. Also, because front load washers tumble the clothes through the soapy water, instead of using a harsh back and forth motion, they're a little gentler on the clothes as well.

The more modern washing machines also almost surely have more features and options than a decade or more old top loader. One such feature is the ability to use an internal heater to boil water to inject steam into the washing tub to assist in cleaning the clothes as well as to reduce the likelihood of wrinkling. There are a number of front load washers that feature the steam cycles. For instance, LG Electronics offers 3 different models of different sizes and varying features that all have steam abilities. The cheapest and most popular of these is the LG WM2501HWA review. With a price point at about that of some models made by other manufacturers that don't have the steam abilities this is a very popular front load washer these days. The next step up in price and features is the LG WM2801HWA review. It has a slightly larger capacity, and is slightly newer than the WM2501HWA, but otherwise more or less the same. The largest, newest, and most fully featured front load steam washer that LG offers is the WM3885HWCA.

Then again, maybe you can't think of when you'd use the steam features, and don't want to spend all that extra money for something that you're unlikely to ever use. This is an understandable position to take. If this is you, then perhaps look to one of the newest models that LG makes, the WM2140CW. It is their entry level front loader, with the lowest price, but still offering all the efficiencies of front loaders, and many features as well.

Whether you decide to buy a front load washer with or without the steam settings, or an older style top loading washer, its always best to do as much research as possible. Make sure to read front load washer reviews on as many models you might be shopping for before you make a decision and spend your hard earned money.
